Field Trip: Tampa History Center

April 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Let’s check out the Tampa History Center – three floors of exhibits, artifacts and history!

Step back hundreds of years as Florida’s first people clash with conquistadors, Seminole Indians journey into Spanish-controlled Florida, and tens of thousands of Latin immigrants seek work in Tampa’s “Cigar City.” Uncover lost landmarks using interactive maps, saddle up for a Florida cattle drive, play house in a pioneer cabin, and cruise the Port of Tampa. Sail with European explorers, maneuver the Florida coast alongside pirates and privateers, and dive to the ocean floor in search of long-lost fortunes.

This will be a self guided tour – so you can take as long as you want in the parts that interest you and scoot past what doesn’t. We are going to meet at 1pm. The Riverwalk and a great park with playground are right next to the History Center if you want to check that out as well.

Students are $8 and adults are $10 – Please check the FAQs page – they have restrictions on what can be brought in the galleries and info on parking.

You can bring a check/cash to co-op, pay via Paypal/Credit Card here

or you can pay by Zelle to anchorhstreasury@gmail.com **** Please note the new email address and don’t send to the one that might be saved in your phone. We switched banks!
